Judge the seller before you judge the photos
Anyone can post a crisp render of an Air Command 6665 and call it a 1:1 clone. Pictures prove very little. What proves something is whether the seller can answer a dull technical question without stalling. I ask three things before I look at a single image: how long they have been shipping into the US, whether the payment method can be reversed if the watch arrives dead, and what the real return window is. Vague answers on any of those and the listing stops mattering.
Then ask for a short video, not photos. Hands sweeping, digital display lit, crown and pushers working, caseback turned to camera. A seller with real stock films it in two minutes. A drop shipper forwards you the factory video every other buyer already saw.

Parameters worth pinning down in writing
- Case and finish. Diameter, thickness and lug width, plus whether the brushing is directional and the bezel insert is applied or printed. Thin cases with soft edges are the usual giveaway on this style of ana-digi watch.
- Movement. The genuine watch runs an ana-digi quartz module, so the replica should too. Ask which module, and confirm the analog hands and the LCD run off the same unit. A three-hander with a decorative fake screen is not a clone, it is a prop.
- Crystal. Sapphire with an anti-reflective coating at this price tier, mineral glass at the bottom. Ask directly.
- Water resistance. Treat any ATM number as a claim until the seals are real. The ISO 22810 standard exists because marketing numbers and tested numbers are different things.
- Bracelet and clasp. Solid end links, screw pins over friction pins, and engraving depth on the clasp. This is where cheap builds show first.
- Servicing. If the module is a common quartz unit, a jeweler can swap it for a small sum. If it is proprietary, a dead watch stays dead. Ask before paying.
Pitfalls that cost people money
- Swiss made stamps on a $120 ana-digi quartz. The label has legal meaning and no cheap clone earns it.
- Stock photos shipped as QC images. Demand a timestamped shot of the actual unit.
- Sellers who will not show caseback font and serial detail in macro. That silence is the answer.
- Ignoring customs risk. Counterfeit watches get seized in transit, and the buyer usually eats the loss. Budget for it or buy from someone with a stated policy.
- Paying by irreversible transfer to save a few dollars. The discount is never worth it.
Price, in plain terms
A decent ana-digi replica with a working module, sapphire and a solid bracelet sits in the low hundreds. Below that you are buying mineral glass, a printed dial and a module that may not survive a year. Above that you should be getting real sapphire, correct case geometry and a seller who answers messages. The gap between tiers is mostly movement quality and case finishing, not branding.

Final checks before you commit
Confirm the return address is real, keep every message, film the unboxing, and test the pushers and the LCD the day it lands. Fit matters too: check thickness against your wrist before you buy, because ana-digi cases wear taller than the numbers suggest. Buy the seller, then the watch.
